ABOUT ME
I create cinematic sports photography focused on emotion, movement and storytelling.
Based in Belgium and working internationally, I collaborate with teams, athletes, organisations and brands who want more than just coverage, they want images that feel as powerful as the moment itself.
My work lives between documentary and art direction. I’m drawn to what happens just before and just after the action: the tension, the preparation, the exhaustion, the quiet moments that often tell a deeper story than the finish line itself. For me, great sports photography isn’t only about performance, it’s about humanity.
I started my career with a strong focus on storytelling, developing a visual style that blends cinematic light, raw emotion and honest moments. Whether I’m shooting cycling, football, or live music, my goal is always the same: to create images that feel immersive, authentic and timeless.
ApproachI believe the most powerful images are built on trust, proximity and presence.
Being close to the athletes, the crew, the environment. understanding the rhythm AND THE ENERGY of a race allows me to capture moments that can’t be staged.
My approach is simple:
observe, anticipate, and tell the story from the inside.MY VIEW OF PHOTOGRAPHY
I have serious vision problems… and I became a photographer.
I have nystagmus in both eyes. It means my eyes are constantly moving, without me being able to control it. My brain has to work harder to stabilize what I see, which is extremely tiring. Even with glasses, my left eye sees at 5/10 and my right eye at 3/10 (and yes, glasses don’t correct vision to 100%).
And yet… I became a professional photographer. TAKE THAT !
Photography is so much more than a perfect image. It’s more than precise framing or freezing the exact right moment. It’s about translating a feeling, an emotion, an atmosphere. It’s something you feel, something bigger than what my camera or even my eyes can see.
Photographing sport or music allows me to get closer, through my camera, to what I struggle to see with my own eyes. It’s about feeling it with my heart more than seeing it. Sharing images is deeply important to me, it’s about making visible what others might not be able to see.
Every photo I take or publish is a victory. Not just for me, but for everyone who has ever been told, “it’s not possible.”
So today, I choose to say it clearly: I create my images more with my heart than with my eyes. Not bad for a guy who can barely see, right ?
LIFE BESIDES PHOTOGRAPHY
MUSIC
As a devoted alternative music fan, I’m constantly drawn to live performances, where emotion, energy and vulnerability meet. This deep connection to music continues to influence my visual rhythm, timing and narrative approach.
Favourite bands : Arctic Monkeys, Biffy Clyde, Foals, Wolf Alice, Bloc Party, Courteeners, Royal Blood, The Killers…SPORT
I’m deeply drawn to intensity, effort and the emotions that come with pushing limits. As a cyclist and runner myself, I connect instinctively with what athletes feel, that connection fuels the way I capture their stories.
Favourite athletes : Wout Van Aert, Steven Gerrard, Alisson Becker, Cameron Masson, Philippe Gilbert, Xavi…CINEMA
I’m drawn to powerful visuals, emotional storytelling and the art of elevating reality. Film teaches me how to shape light, rhythm and atmosphere and how to turn real moments into images that feel larger than life.
Favourite movies and shows : Blade Runner 2049, Dune 2, Back to the Future, The Office, Friends, Band of Brothers, The Grand Budapest Hotel…
